- Tell us a little about yourself.Super type A, organized, chart loving, data loving 25 year old female. Newly married (5 days as I fill this out). I am a PA-C in urgent care but I am considering becoming trained in NaPro and/or Marquette. I love being outside and active (golf, running, biking, hiking, canoeing/kayaking, backpacking, camping, hammocking).
- What effects has fertility awareness had on your relationship?Well the only effects so far was waiting a few days to consummate our marriage (thanks wedding stress). We took a Marquette class as a part of our marriage prep so he understands the basics, but has little interest in actually charting. I made some color coded love notes to go along with my chart. I will put a different note up at the end of each day when I chart. (His top two live languages are quality time and words of affirmation so he loves the notes).
- How did you find your instructor?Marriage prep coordinator.
- Describe your daily charting routine.I track urinary hormones with the clear blue monitor when indicated by Marquette protocol. I use temp drop to track my temps (most days, I occasionally forget). I track CM, but I use Creighton notation because I see a NaPro provider.
- What made you choose this method?I like all the data and we are TTA. It creates extra days of abstinence, but we would prefer that over taking risks right now.
- Has charting helped you to understand your overall health?Yes! I definitely saw a correlation to where I am at in my cycle and my overall mood and preferences. Learning the correlation has helped me to make more productive decisions.
- Did you switch to this method from another one? If so, why?Switched from Creighton to Marquette in engagement because we felt more comfortable adding more objective signs because we are TTA.
