- Tell us a little about yourself.Iβm a mom of 5 married to my high school sweetheart. Together we founded Two Become Family, a marriage and family ministry. I also homeschool and work part time as an athletic director for a school. I have my masters degree in Educational Leadership and my husband is nearly finished his masters in Theology. He currently works in health care. We both facilitate the youth group at our parish.
- What effects has fertility awareness had on your relationship?Tested, challenged, improved communication, forced us to learn the 5 Love Languages, helped us to achieve pregnancy during infertility early in marriage, and now navigating hyper-fertility.
- First Method: Marquette - How did you find your instructor?Instagram, $125 for initial and 1 year of follow ups.
- Describe your daily charting routine.3 months of this method. Use monitor in AM and loosely check mucus. Way easier mentally/emotionally to have a βthird partyβ determine fertility while TTA.
- What made you choose this method?Postpartum. I like that itβs clear. I dislike always second guessing myself because I also know Creighton.
- Has charting helped you to understand your overall health?Absolutely! Highs=more energy and better mood.
- Did you switch to this method from another one? If so, why?Wanted more objective/clear answers PP. transition has been tricky learning to trust a monitor when I see mucus.
- Did you stop using this method? If so, why?Initially stopped because of pregnancy and switched to Marquette for easier PP tracking
- Second Method: Couple to Couple League - How did you find your instructor?Family friends
- Describe your daily charting routine.Daily for 6 months-temp, mucus, and cervix check. Get like a lot to keep track of and bio markers didnβt always βmatchβ.
- What made you choose this method?Wanted to become an NFP instructor and creighton is $$$$.
- Did you switch to this method from another one? If so, why?Switched from creighton. Wanted to teach NFP without $$$
- Did you stop using this method? If so, why?Unintended pregnancy using this method.
- Third Method: Creighton Model - How did you find your instructor?Website. $50 for initial and $30 every follow up...approximately $200 total, I believe. I forget price of learning Pp.
- Describe your daily charting routine. On and off for about 9 years. Originally used for PCOS diagnosis and treatment, then helpful when using medication for TTC during infertility, then used for TTA and TTC after first and second children.
- What made you choose this method?Health-NaPro care. Loved how it worked with dx and intervention for TTC.
- Has charting helped you to understand your overall health? Both of our first children were conceived and pregnancy supported by NaPro. 3-5 babies also supported by progesterone protocol from NaPro.
- Did you stop using this method? If so, why?Stopped for clearer Pp charting.
