- Tell us a little about yourself.I’m a wife and mother. I work full time and my office is very close to home right now! I am from a large family and love it completely. My husband and I are currently in the process of building our new home so most of my free time is spent researching appliances and other building materials. I have recently taken an interest in sewing…easy stuff right now. I just started Marquette last year after having my son and am still learning so much.
- What effects has fertility awareness had on your relationship? It’s been a test. After I got married I relied on an app for my fertility monitoring and since I wasn’t really trying to avoid pregnancy I used it lightly. After having my son we starting practicing NFP more seriously and woah it’s been so difficult. My husband and I share many aspects of our fertility, however, most of it still falls on me. We have grown together and it’s nice to talk honestly and openly about it with him.
- How did you find your instructor?I found my through a local church bulletin. I think we paid $175 for initial class with follow ups through the first year at 1, 3, 6 and 12 months.
- Describe your daily charting routine.I’ve been charting for just about 1 year. I use the clear blue monitor and mucus observations. The monitor makes charting easier to keep track because my mornings usually are hectic.
- What made you choose this method?I had a lot of feedback that Marquette was very good for postpartum. The monitor helps me so much as a clear answer. So far nothing I’ve been bothered by with the method.
- Has charting helped you to understand your overall health? So much!!! Mostly behavioral.
