- Tell us a little about yourself.Married 7 years, 2 kids, BFA in musical theatre, work part time from home/part in the office as the Confirmation coordinator at my parish, Jazzercise instructor, we watch a lot of TV π
- What effects has fertility awareness had on your relationship?My sex life is better (HBC took away my sex drive) and I love know whatβs going on with my body, ditching HBC has helped me with my chronic migraine!, but mostly itβs EXTREMELY frustrating, my husband hasnβt bought in 100% and I am the gatekeeper and I βgive inβ to non licit sexual activity almost monthly. He seems to have no interest when we are on usable days (which are few and far betweenβ¦pp tta). Hubs love language is physical touch and non usable days but a huge barrier in our relationship. It makes me hate being Catholic sometimes.

- Did you switch to this method from another one? If so, why?Easier mostly, switched from Sympto-thermal for more clarity pp, found what I needed online and through friends, couldnβt find an instructor that would just teach me what I needed to know about THIS method not NFP in general since I was already trained, successfully avoided pregnancy for 20 ish months until switching to TTW and achieving pregnancy in one cycle, now is second set of PP cycles, more frustrating this time, need to find an instructor because there are few usable days
- Second Method: Couple to Couple League - How did you find your instructor?Through my church (they are fiends of ours), took the original and a pp class
- Describe your daily charting routine.Charted for 2 years before intentionally conceiving, monitored mucus and temp but mostly used the temp only rules, was very straightforward until PP, helped my migraines, helped me focus on health rather than being skinny, helped me understand my body (I thought I was way more irregular until I charted), sex was way better for me than HBC and focused on vitamins that made periods a lot better
- What made you choose this method?Friends taught it, didnβt really know there were more options, cheap and pretty simple
- Has charting helped you to understand your overall health?Yes helped my migraines by stitching HBC, helped me focus on health rather than being skinny, helped me understand my body (I thought I was way more irregular until I charted), sex was way better for me than HBC and focused on vitamins that made periods a lot better
- Did you stop using this method? If so, why?PP temps all over the place, switched to MM, needed something more subjective
