Andrea K’s User Questionnaire

Current Method: Marquette
Previous Method: Couple to Couple League

  • Tell us a little about yourself.
I'm married with one toddler boy! Education is in Elementary and Special Education. I'm part-time working from home and have my own photography business.
  • What effects has fertility awareness had on your relationship?
It has been a test, especially postpartum. But I will say that MM has been a game changer in the objectivity and gives us great confidence. I always recommend it.
  • Current Method: Marquette - How did you find your instructor?
I found her online. She was listed in a Facebook group! I can’t remember the cost - maybe $100ish? I paid a one time fee and follow ups have been free.
  • Describe your daily charting routine.
I just test on days required with my monitor. I chart my monitor result and my CM. It’s annoying at times when we travel, but it’s the easiest method for me by far.
  • What made you choose this method?
It's objective, easy, effective! The ongoing cost is the most annoying, but the simplicity and objectiveness way outweighs that.
  • Has charting helped you to understand your overall health?
Yes, if I am moody before my period starts but that’s about it.
  • Did you switch to this method from another one? If so, why?
I switched from STM because its easier and objective and with a baby the "sleep so many hours" to get my BBT wasn’t happening. I do know Tempdrop is a thing, but just using Marquette monitor only is enough for me.
  • Previous Method: Couple to Couple League - How did you find your instructor?
I self taught with the book TCOYF.
  • Describe your daily charting routine.
I charted for months before getting married to get the hang of it and used STM for maybe a year or so after getting married. Charted my CM and BBT.
  • What made you choose this method?
STM/CCL was most widely known and the book TCOYF was like the “bible” for STM. I liked the data behind it!
  • Has charting helped you to understand your overall health?
Yes. It let me know my cycles were normal.
  • Did you stop using this method? If so, why?
    Didn’t work for my lifestyle.
