  • Tell us a little about yourself.
Introverted but like people; one of three and now soon to have 2 babies, would love a big family but we will see what the hubby and God say because he was tramatized by my C-section (hopefully #2 is a successful v-bac!); We are currently working on starting our own business so I will go from a sahm to a wfhm, I'm really looking forward to it; I have a college degree in engineering but am very artistically minded and used to work in the ink industry (before kids); my #1 hobby is baking sourdough and my hubby's #1 hobby is brewing beer so we make a great pair.
  • What effects has fertility awareness had on your relationship?
Better communication overall but not going to lie it sucks sometimes, honestly the fact that we both have high sex drive is why we are pregnant, not to be tmi but all this stuff that has come out about NFP being used with a contraceptive mentally has actually made our sex life better. It's definitely been a test that has strengthened us. I do the tracking and then we talk about if we want a baby to decide what to do. He asks me usually a few times where we are per cycle too.
  • Current Method: Marquette - How did you find your instructor?
    Diocese website
  • Describe your daily charting routine.
Did the morning pee test for clear blue. track cm, temp, and cervical position too. I like knowing where my body is, but fertile sex is way more fun. Been tracking for 7 years but not with all biomarkers.
  • What made you choose this method?
Switched to it after birth of first because we no longer had an instructor in FAMM. Based on what happened with our first If everything remains the same with breastfeeding we will probably not start pee testing till breastfeeding protocol is no longer a thing. We also only use it till I wean the babies as we find CM to be a better indicator. And Marquette is expensive with the test sticks.
  • Did you switch to this method from another one? If so, why?
Having our first baby, It was pretty straightforward but I don't like the emphasis that our Marquette instructor puts on monitor only tracking.
  • Previous Method: SymptoPro - How did you find your instructor?
    Diocese website
  • Describe your daily charting routine.
Originally was tracking mostly just temp because I wasn't married yet, then switched to CM cervical positioning and temp once married. It was stressful at first but then once we got the hang of it it wasn't hard.
  • What made you choose this method?
I had no idea what I was doing. The instructor wasn't that great. I wound up doing a lot of reading on my own, and basically was riding the whole no instructor train which is not recommended...
  • Did you stop using this method? If so, why?
    Pregnancy
