👩🏾🤝👨🏽⛪🚸🥼👌🏻🌡
- Tell us a little about yourself.Full time work from home mom of 3 girls, I’m on an adult competitive all star cheer team, I have a childbirth blog
- What effects has fertility awareness had on your relationship?I wanted NFP because I’m Catholic but my husband is not. It has not been a positive experience but I don’t want the side effects of hormonal birth control. We have a method fail with my 3rd and got pregnant from condom use during my charted fertile window for my 2nd.
- First Method: Generic Sympto Thermal - How did you find your instructor?Through the Catholic hospital/ engaged encounter
- Describe your daily charting routine.I did it for about 6 months byt stopped because I was not ovulating and the method required abstinence until first confirmed ovulation.
- What made you choose this method? That was the only method taught by the presented options
- Has charting helped you to understand your overall health?Confirmed I was not ovulating and got a formal PCOS diagnosis
- Did you stop using this method? If so, why?Required constant abstinence
- Second Method: Creighton Model - How did you find your instructor?Through my NaPro OBGyn, About $400 over the first year
- Describe your daily charting routine.Charted most fertile sign once per day before bed and checked for signs of fertility every time I used the bathroom. Minor inconvenience.
- What made you choose this method?Good for NaPro technology obgyn I was using to help with pcos.
- Has charting helped you to understand your overall health? Not really. The napro only treats my PCOS when I’m not pregnant or breastfeeding. Everytime I stop breastfeeding and get ready to start all the supplements I get pregnant again.
- Did you switch to this method from another one? If so, why?Wanting less abstinence
- Did you stop using this method? If so, why?Pregnancy. Now breastfeeding and loosely watching for symptoms but not charting.
